Further information
The Tubex Standard Tree Shelter is one of the most widely used tree shelters in UK forestry, farming and landscaping, and this 1.2m version gives the taller protection needed against browsing animals such as deer and hares.
Made from durable, UV-resistant, twin-walled polypropylene, the shelter creates a microclimate around the young tree, retaining warmth and moisture to encourage healthy root and stem development throughout the year. It also shields saplings from wind, frost and damage caused by rabbits, hares, livestock and deer. As an added benefit, the tube protects newly planted trees from herbicide spray during spring and summer weed control.
The flared rim reduces abrasion as the tree grows, and the pre-fitted, reusable cable tie makes installation quick, even across large planting schemes. The shelter is recyclable once the tree is established.
