Brown treated softwood sleepers have identical features to our traditional green treated softwood sleepers, but have instead been treated with an attractive brown preservative, making them well-suited to lighter gardens that need a touch of dark, contrasting natural tones.
Since these brown treated railway sleepers are made from new, sawn cut timber, they tend to have straighter edges than reclaimed timber sleepers, making them easier to stack for popular landscaping uses such as raised beds and borders. Better yet, the brown pressure treatment offers the sleepers long-lasting protection against fungal decay, insect attack and rot. This treatment is safe for children and pets alike, making the sleepers ideal for use in gardens and parks.
