Green treated softwood sleepers are large, sawn cut rectangle sleepers perfect for garden landscaping. These attractive, new sawn sleepers tend to have straighter edges than reclaimed timber sleepers, which makes them easier to stack. Better yet, they have been tanalised pressure treated with a green wood preservative for long-lasting protection against fungal decay, insect attack and rot. This treatment is safe for children and pets alike, making our green softwood sleepers particularly popular in gardens for raised borders, vegetable beds, decking, patios and water features. This green preservative will fade to a honey brown and finally to a silvery grey over several months, or can be easily stained using our wood treatments if a different colour is preferred to suit the space the sleepers are in, such as grey, black or cedar red.
