Melcourt Hardwood Playchips is a loose impact absorbing surface (LIAS) made up of specially processed and screened hardwood chips. This is suitable for play areas, particularly those where high movement and ground falls are likely. This is ideal for play centres, under play frames, space nets and much more.

- Nominal particle size range of 5 - 40mm
- Free-draining, allowing safe play throughout the year
- Produced from sustainably harvested British forests
- RHS-endorsed
Dust and fines have been carefully removed and the product contains 80%+ wood. It's been tested in accordance with BS EN 1176 and 1177, and fire tested in accordance with BS 4790:1987.
Use at depths of:
- 100mm for a critical fall height of 1.4 metres
- 200mm for a critical fall height of >3.5 metres
- 300mm for a critical fall height of >3.5 metres
