Recommended hinges

For gate widths 3ft to 6ft (900mm to 1.8m), we recommend using 18-inch (450mm) gate hinges:

Construction & Design

Each 5 bar gate features two substantial stiles at either end, providing strength at the hinge and closing points. The symmetrical design allows the gate to be hung from either side, offering flexibility during installation.

The diagonal bracing is positioned to transfer load back towards the hinge post, helping prevent sagging over time and ensuring smooth operation.
