Suregreen’s erosion and stability control range has been specially designed to offer protection against soil erosion and includes Mulchmat Type 11, Geojute, Geocoir and Geoweb.
Mulchmat Type 11
Mulchmat Type 11 provides mulching, moisture control, non-chemical weed control, soil erosion protection and soil temperature control in one single operation, which is particularly effective on slopes where landscape planting is required. This biodegradable mulchmat allows for nursery-like conditions to be achieved easily and by environmentally friendly means, biodegrading after a minimum of three years.
Geojute and Geocoir
Geojute and Geocoir are both made from fully biodegradable natural fibres, used to stabilise slopes to counter water flow expectations. Both products can be secured to the slope using pins.
Geojute is a lightweight but effective biodegradable net used to prevent soil erosion, ideal for slopes up to 45 degrees with an expected lifespan of one year. The netting offers a high degree of soil retention before biodegrading completely to add to the organic content of the soil. The flexibility and drape of Geojute means it moulds closely to the contours of the soil slope, helping to provide a high degree of soil retention.
Gecoir is for heavier use, providing strong and durable short- to mid-term protection for steep and aggressive applications for slopes up to 80 degrees. Made using 100% high quality bristle coir fibres, Geocoir can be used in water courses or areas of high wind exposure. It allows water run-off and provides excellent silt collection, aiding natural vegetation and long-term embankment regeneration.
Geoweb is an expandable cellular confinement system which is used to stabilise slopes as part of a retaining wall feature and in tree root protection systems. Geoweb provides strength to confined soils, distributes loads laterally and not vertically, and reduces point loads and compaction of the sub soil.
