Melcourt Bark Nuggets is a long-lasting, high performance mulch, suitable for a wide range of professional and domestic applications, including prestigious sites. The bark nuggets are particularly effective when a high quality, decorative finish is required.

 

These bark chippings effectively:

  • Suppresses weed growth replacing expensive shrub bed hoeing and chemical weed-killing
  • Conserves soil moisture, minimising drought stress and plant death and eliminating the need for excessive plant watering
  • Provides good resistance to wind and rain erosion – suitable for use on moderate slopes
  • Enhances the visual appearance of new and existing planted areas
  • Provides an insulating layer, substantially reducing the efforts of ground freezing and over-heating during extreme weather conditions
  • Improves the soils organic content as it decomposes gradually
