Location: Finchingfield, near Braintree, Essex
Responsible For: Working with heavy-duty machinery
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - Core hours are between 07:00 am –18:00 pm

Main Purpose of the Job & Skills
Responsible for loading and unloading vehicles and transporting materials from a storage space to a designated workplace using a Telehandler.
SKILLS:
- Constant spatial awareness
- Good communication skills
- Patience, a calm demeanor, and emotional intelligence, particularly in stressful situations
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Operating Telehandlers
- Loading and unloading containers and HGV’s
- Assessing loads and deciding whether they are safe to lift
- Understanding the effects of loads, sizes, and weights on the telehandler’s stability
- Understanding how the machine works and addressing any maintenance needs
- Understanding the basic construction of pallets
Requirements
- It is crucial that the Telehandler operator always follows strict Health and Safety regulations to ensure their own safety and that of the people around them
- Must have a J4 Telehandler license, J2 Telehandler license advantageous but no essential
- High level of attention to detail
- Physically fit
- Knowledge of machinery
- Knowledge of how to operate telescopic handler machinery carefully and efficiently
- Full UK Driving License
