Melcourt Pine Mini Chips is a neat, small chip, high-performance mulch, suitable for a wide range of mulching applications, particularly on smaller beds and borders or tubs, posts, window boxes and roof gardens.

 

Pine chips can be used to:

  • Suppress weed growth replacing expensive shrub bed hoeing and chemical weed-killing
  • Conserve soil moisture, minimising drought stress and plant death and eliminating the need for excessive watering
  • Substantially enhance the visual appearance of new and existing planted areas
  • Provide an insulating layer, substantially reducing the efforts of ground freezing and over-heating during extreme weather conditions
  • Slowly improve the soil’s organic content, as it decomposes into the soil
  • Allow clean access onto mulched areas for plant pruning
