Mulchmat Type 11 is a 100% biodegradable blanket for use in landscape planting particularly on slopes. Mulchmat provides mulching, moisture control, non-chemical weed control, soil erosion protection and balances soil temperature in one single operation. This environmentally friendly mulchmat means that nursery-like conditions can be achieved easily with minimal maintenance to new trees and shrubs.
Available in four roll widths; 0.60m, 0.80m, 1.20m and 2.40m all are 30m in length.
Composition:
- Upper layer: a UV-degradable blanket of coir
- Middle layer: UV-degradable foils underneath to prevent light penetration, with offset slits to allow water through
- Bottom layer: membrane manufactured from UV-degradable plastic and prevents loss of moisture, controls erosion and provides weed suppression.

Mulchmat Type 11 can be supplied with one of the following fixing options:
FP200: 200mm Steel Fixing Pins that have a ribbed bar for added grip and a kinked head to aid hammering in. Versatile and can be used in most applications including clay soils as well as soils with some small stones.
WP300: 300mm Wooden Stakes made from natural pine. The stakes have a large surface area and the roughness of the natural pine provides excellent pull out resistance in soft loamy or sand soils. The 50mm dowel also provides a large area for securing blankets, matting and meshes.
