Transform the look of your outdoor space and give your garden a sense of privacy with our high-quality bamboo screening. Split bamboo screening can be used on its own or attached to an existing fence to add privacy to an overlooked garden, disguise or improve the look of walls and fences, on pergolas and garden arbours to provide shade and to protect tender plants from wind.
Manufactured from eco-friendly, sustainable and thick natural bamboo canes that have been split vertically to form bamboo slats, our split bamboo screening is highly versatile, durable and easy to install. Typical applications for bamboo screening include:
- Garden privacy screening
- Decorative garden screening

Each slat in the bamboo screening is tied together using strong horizontal galvanised wires every 20cm. There are no breaks in the split canes, meaning it can easily be installed and fixed to posts, walls and garden fences using u-nails, screws, or cable ties.

How do you install a bamboo privacy fence?
Bamboo screening can be used on its own or attached to an existing fence. If you are attaching the screening to an existing fence, simply unroll and attach to the posts using u-nails, screws, or cable ties. If you are using as a standalone screen, you will need to create a framework first by installing wooden posts at (max) 2m intervals. Once you have built the frame, the bamboo screening can be attached to the posts using u-nails and/or cable ties.
Can you cut bamboo fencing?
Split bamboo screening can be cut to your desired length by using a pair of wire cutters. Simply cut the wire at the length you desire and fold the wire to seal the end.
Can I attach screening to my neighbours’ fence?
If your neighbour owns the fence and you have not been granted permission from your neighbour to do so, you are not allowed to attach or nail things to the fence. If a wall is a party wall and owned by both sides, then you can fix screening to the wall. It is always best practice to discuss your ideas with your neighbours and come to an agreement.
How do I stop neighbours looking into my garden?
Garden privacy screens are a quick, simple and attractive way to add privacy to your garden. Bamboo screening is ideal for adding privacy to an overlooked garden either by raising the height of an existing fence to 2m, creating a visual boundary in the garden or by using as a ‘roof’ to a bamboo pergola.
How high can a privacy screen be?
The legal height of a fence in the UK is 6’6” or 2m. For fencing above 2m, you will need planning permission from the relevant authorities.
How do I make my garden feel private?
Adding bamboo screening to your garden is a quick and easy way to increase the privacy of your garden. Bamboo screening works to give a distraction to onlooker eyes and will allow you to feel comfortable and secure in your surroundings, without the need to wait several years for trees to grow or plants to climb trellis.
Which garden screening is best?
Deciding on the best garden screening often comes down to personal preference. If you are looking to add privacy to your garden or to disguise an existing wall or fence, split bamboo screening is a popular choice due to its versatility, finish and durability. It is quick and easy to install; simply unroll the screening and fix it to posts, walls or fences using u-nails, screws, or cable ties.
