Further information

Suregreen fencing posts are strong machine-rounded stakes that have been green tanalised pressure treated to protect the wood against rotting and damp, giving the posts an extra long life outdoors.

Wooden machine-rounded fencing stakes and tree stakes are ideal for almost all types of fencing including garden fences, agricultural fencing, animal fences, boundaries and farm fields. The timber fencing posts have a chamfered top and a pointed base for easy installation.

These stakes are commonly used to secure galvanised animal stock fencing, hexagonal wire fencing, galvanised steel rabbit, chicken run netting and plastic garden meshes. Rounded wooden stakes are also ideal as tree stakes for supporting young trees and tree shelters. For more information on our range of machine-rounded fencing posts please visit our technical section - click here.

Technical information

Tanalised Preservative

Suregreen's rounded wood stakes are tanalised, which is a wood preservative treatment completed under high vacuum pressure. Tanalising the timber ensures a deep penetration of the wood preservative into the timber cells for a long-lasting protection against fungal decay, insect attack and rotting caused by water. The treatment protects the fence posts from contact with the ground and will prevent rotting for up to 8+ years.

The treated wooden posts have a green colouration initially which will fade to a honey brown and finally to a silver grey. For more information on the tanalise treatment process please click here to visit our technical section.
