Customer Care Associate

Location: Finchingfield, near Braintree, Essex 

Type: Full-time (6 month contract)

Salary: £12.50 - £13.46 DoE

Hours:  Full Time: 40 hours rolling rota 

Core hours between 07:00 and 18:00)

The Role

The main purpose of the job: Delivering proactive and immediate support to customers on the channel of their choice.

  • Effectively manage daily administrative tasks.
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries.
  • Communicating with customers through various channels.
  • Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints.
  • Processing orders, managing returns and delivery issues.
  • Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
  • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues, as necessary.
  • Providing feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
  • Answer any questions the customer may have about available products and services.
  • Establish new customer accounts, recording account information on Linnworks and Salesforce.
  • Listen to customer concerns and complaints with the goal of identifying the causes of the problem.
  • Select appropriate responses to customer issues and work quickly to resolve them.
  • Refer advanced cases to management for resolution, providing background information, as necessary.
  • Anticipate customer needs, following up with previous customers to offer reorders or additional services.


  • Confident with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivator and driven
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (preferred)
  • Keen business insight
  • Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Creative, results-driven professional
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving License


  • Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset.
  • Comfortable using computers.
  • Experience working with customers and in customer support.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Familiarity with all the goods and services offered by the company.
