Keep pesky weeds at bay without the need for harsh chemicals using WEED-DEFENDA 50. This economical, lightweight 50g/m² weed control fabric has been specially designed to prevent weed growth underneath the membrane whilst allowing water, air and nutrients to pass through to the soil due to its permeable nature.
WEED-DEFENDA 50 is lighter than WEED-DEFENDA 70, meaning it is more suited to gardening applications such as under mulch, paths, raised beds, sandpits, drives and decorative layers such as bark, stone chippings, pebbles and more. For full weed and Rhizome suppression, or for use under artificial grass and domestic patios, opt for WEED-DEFENDA 70.

Useful tips for installing WEED-DEFENDA 50:
Remove all vegetation before clearing and levelling the soil. Lay WEED-DEFENDA 50 over the soil and secure using u-pins or plastic peg. If you need more than one row of fabric, overlap the pieces by at least 6 inches to prevent weeds from growing through the seams. Finally, add a generous layer of mulch or decorative aggregates over the fabric within 48 hours to protect the membrane from U.V. light.
