Made in Britain, Suregreen has everything you need to build a high-quality and long-lasting decking area for both commercial and residential applications.  We supply traditional timber deck boards, architectural timber decking and composite decking to suit a wide array of budgets and project requirements.  These deck boards can be delivered nationwide alongside our subframe timber, decking oils and fixingsCraned delivery is available local to our warehouse in Essex.

Both our architectural timber deck boards from IRO and composite deck boards from Alchemy are sustainable; with the timber decking boards being from FSC®-certified and PEFC-certified sources, and our composite boards made from 95% recycled materials.  These plastic decking boards are easy to clean with little maintenance and come with a 15-year (Habitat+) and 20-year (Urban) UK-based manufacturer's warranty, giving you added peace of mind after installation.  The final product is an incredibly high performance, UV-stabilised, water repellent decking area that can withstand high footfall – including hotels, gardens, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Our most economical deck board option is our NEW traditional decking timber - made from pressure treated, slow-grown timber sourced sustainably from Europe with FSC® certification.  Each deck board features a grooved finish on one face, with the reverse being flat and smooth. This allows for easy installation of the flat side, whilst the grooved top aids the removal of water by supply channels for it to flow down.

When it comes to building a new deck or replacing an old one, one of the first decisions you'll need to make is what type of decking material to use. There are a variety of different options available, each with its own unique benefits and drawbacks. Take a look at some of the most popular types of decking materials and explore their pros and cons.

Wood decking is a classic choice. Wood has a natural, rustic look that can add warmth and character to any outdoor space. It's also relatively affordable and easy to work with, making it a popular choice for DIY projects. However, wood does require regular maintenance, including staining and sealing, to keep it looking its best and to protect it from the elements. Additionally, wood can rot, warp, or splinter over time, which can affect its lifespan.

Composite decking is another popular option that has gained popularity in recent years. Composite decking is made from a blend of wood fibers and plastic, which makes it resistant to rot, fading, and staining. It's also low maintenance, requiring only occasional cleaning to keep it looking its best. However it may not have the same natural look or feel as wood.

PVC decking is a newer option that's made from a type of plastic called polyvinyl chloride. Like composite decking, PVC decking is resistant to rot, fading, and staining, and it requires minimal maintenance. It's also relatively lightweight and easy to work with. However, PVC decking  may not have the same natural look as these other materials.

When it comes to choosing the right type of decking material for your project, it's important to consider your budget, the style and aesthetic you're looking for, and the level of maintenance you're willing to commit to. No matter which type of decking material you choose, it's important to follow proper installation and maintenance guidelines to ensure that your deck lasts for many years to come.
