Windbreak Fencing Mesh

Plastic windbreak fencing mesh reduces wind speeds through it's mesh apertures, helping to protect crops, plants, animals, nurseries from heavy winds. Manufactured from HDPE plastic, windbreak fencing mesh has a hexagonal mesh aperture and is available in green or black in 1m or 2m wide rolls.

Windbreak fencing mesh makes a decorative garden fence or horticultural or agricultural fencing where destructive winds are required to be reduced need crops or animals. Suregreen's windbreak mesh reduces wind speeds as the force of the wind is broken when it passes through the 50% of mesh holes.

Features and benefits

  • Windbreak mesh reduces wind speeds
  • Plastic mesh is UV stabilised and rot resistant
  • Lightweight and easy to install
  • Install by battening to wooden fence posts
  • Use a straining line wire for added strength for the fence
  • Manufactured from HDPE plastic mesh
  • Mesh hole size of 8x6mm (nominal)
  • Weight 400g/m²

INSTALLATION

Hexagonal plastic mesh windbreak fencing should be battened to wooded posts (the mesh should be secured between the timber fence post and a timber batten so that the full length of the mesh takes to forces exerted by the wind). Failure to fix these plastic meshes properly could result in some individual mesh filaments breaking where they have been U-nailed. This could result in the fencing mesh blowing down. When installing a windbreak fence, we recommend that you follow our guidelines in the link below for all our plastic mesh fencing. Our guide provides suggestions on the size of treated timber stakes to use, the distance they should be apart, how to fix the plastic mesh to the stakes and the use of a tensioning line wire to keep the mesh fencing taut and strong.
