Rabbit Fencing-Hexagonal wire netting
Rabbit fencing from Suregreen is a galvanised hexagonal wire netting with a 31mm mesh hole size (1¼" inches), available in roll widths of 600mm (2ft), 1.05m (42inches) and 1.2m (4ft). Hot-dipped galvanised zinc coated for a rabbit fence that lasts a long time.
Galvanised steel hexagonal wire rabbit fencing is the most popular and effective product for protecting agriculture, gardens, crops, vegetables and gardens from rabbits, hare and other browsing animals. Rabbits and browsing animals can cause immense damage to crops and gardens, with an estimated cost to the british agricultural industry in access of £100million per year.
Suregreen's metal rabbit fence has a 31mm hexagonal mesh hole size which is the most effective size for protecting and keeping rabbits out. We offer rabbit fencing in three roll sizes:
- 600mm x 50m roll - minimum suggested height to keep rabbits excluded
- 1050mm x 50m roll - Most popular agricultural fencing height to keep rabbits, hare and other browsing animals out.
- 1.2m x 50m roll
Other Mesh sizes
Suregreen offer hexagonal wire netting in other mesh sizes, different roll lengths and roll widths. Our range includes 13mm, 25mm, 31mm and 50mm mesh netting. (½", 1", 1¼" and 2" mesh hole sizes)
Hexagonal wire rabbit fencing should be installed between timber fence posts (rounded stakes). We suggest a diameter of post from 50-75mm. U nails should be used to fix the galvanised rabbit fencing to the posts. Fencing straining line wire should be used to tension the rabbit fencing at the top and bottom of the fence if required (This may be required on nthe 1.05m wide netting). The base of the fencing should be covered by soil and held in place fixed using ground pegs so that there are no gaps for rabbits to get under the fencing.
